A SPOOKTACULAR cocktail

Posted By The Man on October 30th, 2011

Our estate celebrated Halloween on Friday:  It’s actually called Trick or Treat so as not to offend any religious sectors, but call what you want, the same fun ghoulish theme runs through many of the homes and both adults and children get dressed up for the event.
Approximately 500 kids will pop into your home for a treat, but only a handful of small kids will leave crying or terrified-I do find that every year it gets harder to scare children….
I even make cupcakes for the mothers-I used to make bloody red velvet but I end up making about 144 cupcakes and so it is easier to whip up my 5 minute vanilla recipe.
This year I offered friends who popped in, a spooktacular  cocktail: The essential ingredients are candy floss and  dry ice and you can order the ice from  http://www.dryicesuppliers.co.za/.
Spooktacular purple Haze (1)
Candy floss
3-4 tots Dreams Wild Berry and Pomegranate cocktail mix
1 tot of absolute vodka or Bacardi rum
½ cup soda
Small block of dry ice
Combine the cocktail mix, vodka and soda in a cocktail shaker or a small jug
Serve by placing the candy floss in the martini glass and then pouring the liquid on top
Add a block of dry ice
