Levonne's lovely fudge 21/02/2010
 I have to admit, my friends can cook, but mostly…don’t. Levonne especially. For our Valentine’s lunch it was Darren who was asked to bring along “their” renowned potato bake. That Levonne arrived with a home made gift of fudge was astounding. A self proclaimed Kugel, she only gets her fingers dirty in a scrub. Besides wrapping the fudge in a glorious Charlotte Reece box, complete with black satin ribbon, the fudge was surprisingly good. In fact, good enough to share…. I asked her for the recipe and almost rolled off the bed when I read it as she included notes about the “soft ball stage” And surely if Levonne could whip this up, so can anyone… Fabulous fudge 500g icing sugar 150ml cold water 1 TBS syrup 60g butter 1 tin condensed milk 2 tsp vanilla extract or 2 TBS vanilla essence
